A parish council is a civil local authority found in England and is the lowest tier of local government.

The Parish Council act as trustees for the Village Hall and the Playing Fields.

The Parish Council owns a few small pockets of land in the village as well as the remaining “telephone box” (now library).

The Parish Council represents the villagers in matters such as planning (although a Parish Council has no powers in planning; we are a statutory consultee, with only the same rights as a member of the public)

Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to come along and offer their opinions to the Parish Council. You can find out when meetings are coming up from The Rocklander magazine, from the village notice boards or on this website.
